The farebox accepts both dollar bills and coins, but please have your exact payment ready as MetroBus operators cannot make change. If you don’t already have a ticket or a pass, you can pay for your ride when you board the bus by inserting exact cash in the farebox. If you have a valid Metro pass, swipe it in the farebox or present it to the MetroBus operator. If you have a valid transfer or previously purchased ticket, give it to the MetroBus operator as you board. As the bus approaches, signal the operator that you want to board by standing or raising your hand.īefore boarding MetroBus, make sure the lighted sign above the windshield displays your selected route number and destination.

Please arrive at the bus stop at least five minutes ahead of the scheduled arrival time.
